Cookie Notice Text Generator

Create neutral technical description texts for necessary cookies, statistics cookies and marketing cookies. The output can be used as a drafting basis for cookie notices, consent banners and privacy information.

Select the cookie categories, add providers and purposes, and generate understandable description texts. The texts are technical drafting aids and do not replace legal review.

Optional building blocks

Technical template, not a CMP

A cookie notice describes the concrete implementation. Distinguish HTTP cookies, Local Storage, Session Storage and other client-side storage. A CMP choice, analytics services, advertising and personalisation, and embedded third parties may each have their own storage or access mechanisms. Add provider, service, purpose, category, storage type and period only after checking the actual website and current provider information. Example periods are not detected automatically by this tool.

Generated text is not a consent management platform (CMP). It does not block services, send a consent signal, store a TCF string, prevent requests or control Google advertising. Those tasks must be checked in the actual CMP, script and advertising configuration.

  • Necessary session function: Check provider/service, purpose such as navigation or login, storage type and session end in the implementation.
  • Analytics: Name the provider and measurement purpose; do not claim IP shortening or aggregation unless the implementation proves it.
  • Advertising: Check provider, advertising purpose, personalisation, measurement and the actual consent/delivery chain separately.
  • CMP choice: Check the choice storage, provider, lifetime and withdrawal behavior against CMP documentation and browser behavior.
  • Third-party embed: Before loading, check possible cookies, Local Storage, requests and transfers of the embedded service.

For current legal starting points, see the official Section 25 TDDDG and the GDPR at EUR-Lex. These references and this generator do not replace review of the concrete project.
